RE: Soliciation of Suggestions for OCSE's Section 1115 Research and Demonstration Agenda
Dear Colleague:
The purpose of this memorandum is to solicit your ideas and suggestions for promising research and demonstration projects that OCSE might include as priority areas in grant program announcements or as possible studies as demonstration grants funded under Section 1115 of the Social Security Act available to States.
Each year, we fund a number of research and demonstration projects in the area of child support. This solicitation of ideas is one of the methods we are using to make the request for research and demonstrations responsive to the need for change in the field. Knowledge gained by research and demonstration project is critical for policy makers and practitioners to make informed decisions. We will consider your valuable input in formulating the OCSE research and demonstration agenda.
Please send your written suggestions for the OCSE research and demonstration agenda by February 26, 2001 to:
James H. Rich
Team Leader, Research Team
DPRE/OCSE 150 4th Fl East
370 L146Enfant Promenade, SW
Washington, D.C. 20447
Fax: 202-260-4645, Email: jrich@acf.hhs.gov
We look forward to receiving your suggestions.
Please note that this is not a solicitation of applications for grants.
Sincerely,
Frank Fuentes
Deputy Commissioner and
Acting Operating Head
Office of Child Support Enforcement
