Job Summary: Incumbent performs various computer and network-related tasks to include installation, configuration, general maintenance, and troubleshooting performance issues of all components of the local area network. Incumbent will provide technical support and guidance, as well as basic computer training to Sergeant at Arms staff.
Duties: 1. Installs, configures and supports local area network. 2. Maintains computer system user accounts and computer system security through assigned rights and permissions based on user job responsibilities. 3. Analyzes and resolves general network, personal computer, and peripheral equipment problems. 4. Provides basic computer training and assistance to staff of the Sergeant at Arms. When additional training (through House Information Resources or an outside vendor) is warranted, incumbent will provide contacts and, if necessary, arrange the training. 5. Administers and troubleshoots the badging system database and the associated personal computers, printers, and software. 6. Assists with the maintenance of the House Garages and Parking Security office computer database (POPS). This includes troubleshooting basic problems within the database, including performance and connectivity and assisting the vendor support when necessary. 7. Maintains the office equipment inventory for all departments under the jurisdiction of the Sergeant at Arms. 8. Maintains the network disaster recovery plan. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Demonstrated computer experience with application software (MS Word, Excel and Access, WordPerfect, etc.) required. Must be able to design and produce query-based reports from Access databases. Must possess familiarity with Windows NT software and fileserver operations.
Knowledge of policies and procedures of the House of Representatives helpful. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Must be tactful and courteous in dealings with Members of Congress, their staff, and the general public. College degree and/or industry certifications (i.e. CompTia A+, MCP, MCSA) preferred. Available to work long hours as necessary. Will be required to undergo a criminal background investigation and successfully obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

The incumbent serves as a Teacher Aide and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of child care services in assigned classroom, as well as providing input on curricular planning and its implementation, and assisting in the collection of child development documentation. The incumbent must also develop and maintain general working knowledge of all aspects of the House Child Care Center and a general understanding of the Office of the CAO at-large, as well as applicable legal requirements and House Rules. The position does not have supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
Essential/Primary Responsibilities: 1. Job Summary: The incumbent serves as a Broadcast Engineering/Production Specialist and is responsible for both technical engineering and production operations to include but not limited to the maintenance of equipment used in radio and television programming/broadcasting as well as the operation of audio/video production equipment as required of the House Recording Studio. The incumbent must follow and adhere to all applicable workplace policies, practices, and procedures, as well as provide professional level customer service and exercise sound judgement and discretion when dealing with House Members, staff, and the general public. The incumbent must prioritize their own work and often works independently on assigned projects. The incumbents pay grade and compensation level are determined based on applicable professional experience, job knowledge, past performance, proven leadership skills and assigned level of responsibility. The position does not have supervisory/managerial responsibilities.
Experience and/or Education Required: 5 years Professional broadcast engineering experience, with emphasis on technical operations preferred. Robotic/manned camera operation, studio lighting, technical and/or floor directing, non-linear editing, audio operations, video teleconferencing, teleprompter and character generator experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the position or an equivalent level of professional work experience preferred. Experience using various automated office systems and software programs preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge and understanding of television, radio, satellite, fiber optic cable and associated electronic and mechanical equipment and systems. Sound working knowledge of studio facilities, equipment and standard television production operations. Studio camera operation experience preferred. Robotic camera operation experience preferred. Job Summary: Incumbent serves as a Senior Procurement Specialist for Procurement Management and is responsible for providing professional advice and assistance to procurement specialists and others in the procurement of goods and services for the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer and the U.S. House of Representatives. Responsibilities also include contract formation and award, contract administration and closure, priority acquisitions, serving as a focal point on procurement matters for designated program offices, and assigned acquisition related projects. Other responsibilities include program and administrative management analysis, internal control assessments, and performance measurement for Procurement Management.
Essential/Primary Responsibilities: 1. For such program offices as may be designated by the Assistant CAO of Administrative & Financial Services or the Procurement Director, serve as primary point of contact on acquisition matters and issues, and assist with procurement planning. 2. Provide advice and assistance to the Procurement Specialists of Procurement Management in the performance of their duties, to include reviewing work products, as required, and the provision of senior level support on priority acquisition items. 3. Take the lead on particular acquisition projects, as assigned by the Assistant CAO of Administrative & Financial Services or the Procurement Director. 4. Participate in contract formation including development of Requests for Proposals, Invitations for Bids, and Requests for Quotations. Actions include developing recommended strategies and timelines for conducting acquisitions, reviewing Statements of Work, conducting pre-proposal conferences, and coordinating evaluations. 5. Ensure compliance of acquisitions with the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Services for the U.S. House of Representatives, the Guidelines for the Purchase of Equipment, Software and Related Services by Offices of the U.S. House of Representatives, and such other guidance and direction as may be issued from time to time by the Chief Administrative Officer, Assistant CAO of Administrative & Financial Services or the Procurement Director, and/or the Committee on House Administration (CHA). 6. Serve as Contract Administrator on designated contracts and as liaison to the corresponding Contracting Officer’s Representatives. Monitor contracts for proper administration and compliance, and ensure that information and documentation in the Procurement Tracking System and the Official Contract Files are complete, accurate and up-to-date. 7. Function as a resource person for the Procurement Specialists, other Procurement Management staff, program officials, the CAO and CHA on procurement and purchasing matters. 8. Act as a Contracting Officer for purchase orders, up to delegated authority. 9. Respond to and implement external audit recommendations, as assigned, and assist in the performance of internal procurement management audits. 10. Job Summary: Incumbent serves as a Management Advisory Assistant Director responsible for assisting the Director, Management Advisory Services, in the management and direction of all in-house and contract reviews in evaluating, streamlining, and improving the U.S. House of Representatives (House) practices and in providing best practices guidance during House system development activities. Experience with PeopleSoft (or similar Enterprise Resource Planning package), TeamMate, business process improvement methodologies, and/or system development life cycle projects is preferred.
Major Duties: 1. Assists in the direction and control of all management advisories designed to (i) evaluate the effectiveness of system development and project management practices, (ii) identify and recommend business process improvements by applying lean management principles, six-sigma concepts and other process improvement methodologies, and (iii) advise management on meeting its objectives using a risk-based approach. 2. Supervises concurrent reviews of multiple U.S. House of Representatives entities and sub-entities. 3. Manages advisories through the development of the advisory programs, assignment of resources, completion of field work, and preparation of draft reports. 4. Performs risk assessments of House activities, prioritizes the results, and writes briefing documents for annual planning purposes. 5. Coordinates the timely resolution of all management advisory recommendations with appropriate U.S. House of Representatives management personnel. 6. Proposes short- and long-range management advisory plans and priorities for the OIG, initiates actions to improve review coverage, quality, effectiveness, and the usefulness of advisory reports. 7. Develops task orders, evaluates proposal bids, and manages contractor staff.
Requirements: Experience and knowledge of reviewing/auditing internal controls, management techniques, business process improvement methodologies, and supporting system development life cycle activities. Must have skill in (i) establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with high ranking officials, and (ii) effective oral and written communications. Additionally, must have a minimum of 24 semester hours of accounting (may include up to 6 semester hours in business law). The auditor will make formal and informal presentations regarding the nature of the audit work to auditee management and other interested personnel.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: The work is usually performed in an office environment. Overnight travel is rare and limited to attending required training not offered locally. The work is primarily sedentary. There may be some walking in, to, and/or from House Office Buildings, or other buildings and facilities of the Capitol Complex.
Supervisory Controls: Incumbent reports to the Director, Management Advisory Services.

Description: The Office of the Clerk, Publication Services is seeking an experienced user interface developer to assist with the design and development of the Clerk’s website and other multimedia projects. The candidate responsibilities will include: creating user interface mock-ups, wireframes, create prototypes, design specifications and screen flows. Candidate must also be able to transform concepts into front-end web designs and web-based multimedia applications. This position requires the ability to work in a small workstation in an office environment without an expectation of privacy where noise levels are usually moderate. Candidates must have a willingness to accept overtime on short notice. Interested parties must work well under pressure and work professionally, cooperatively, and courteously.
