RE: Proposed QUICK Case Activity Statements

Dear Colleague:

We are asking for your assistance in reviewing the Case Activity Statements for the next module of QUICK (Query Interstate Cases for Kids).

QUICK is an electronic application that allows caseworkers to view interstate case information in real time. With this capability, a caseworker can provide an immediate response to a customer or quickly determine the next case action. At this time there are six States in production and twelve more have begun development.

For the past year, the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement and the QUICK Case Activities Workgroup have been developing the Case Activity module. This addition to QUICK will allow caseworkers to view 34 different case activities underway or completed by another State. In addition to the financial and basic case data currently available in the Financial module, caseworkers will also be able to view non-custodial parent locate, paternity, order establishment, enforcement, and case status, as well as contact information for the caseworker in the other State.

The enclosed document contains the wording for each statement that will appear on the caseworker’s screen (Screen Statements), the instructions associated with each statement, and the related data elements.

Please review the table to ensure that the statements are understandable, relevant and complete, that the instructions are clear and accurate, and that the data elements are appropriate.
