On Tuesday, August 14, Mayor Sherman Saunders of Danville, Virginia welcomed Vice President Joe Biden to deliver a speech at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research. Mr. Saunders is not only the mayor of Danville, but also a longtime Community Action leader. Mr. Saunders, along with former Congressman Tom Perriello, introduced the Vice President and sat onstage during the speech.
