MedQIC The Medicare Quality Improvement Community (MedQIC) is a national knowledge forum for healthcare and quality improvement professionals. It provides easy access to quality improvement resources and a community of professionals sharing knowledge and experiences to accelerate healthcare quality improvement across the nation. MedQIC is sponsored by CMS to support and promote its Medicare Quality Improvement Program and its contractors, the QIOs, in helping Medicare providers deliver the right care to every Medicare beneficiary, every time. MedQIC fosters a community-based approach to quality improvement. The information found on MedQIC includes provider and QIO interventions that can change processes, structures, or behaviors in healthcare settings. In addition, various tools, literature, and success stories are available for MedQIC users to study and implement in their own quality improvement efforts. AHQA The American Health Quality Association (AHQA) represents QIOs and professionals working to improve health care quality and patient safety. AHQA members: - Develop and manage projects in healthcare quality improvement and evaluation for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers and purchasers.
- Provide expertise in clinical care, quality improvement, health information management, statistical analysis, and communications to healthcare purchasers and providers.
- Collaborate with medical practices, hospitals, health plans, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, and employers to evaluate systems of healthcare delivery and share best practices.
