Interactive Mapping

Alternative Arrangements Mapping Application The Mapping Application provides users with information about Public Assistance projects, infrastructure, socioeconomic data, and political boundaries from the seven parishes comprising Greater New Orleans and allows them to display it on a map.

A user may select a certain parish and zoom directly to that area for a closer view to evaluate an area of particular interest. The Map Viewer contains data about police and fire stations, schools, airports, base flood elevations, transportation infrastructure, political areas, wetlands, demographics, and much more.  The information available is from federal, state, and local government agencies.

The Map Viewer contains several tools to navigate within the parishes and displays specific information about a particular location. These tools are explained in detail within the User's Guide. This guide summarizes the features of the Map Viewer and provides an overview of the many tools the Map Viewer offers.

Flood Recovery Maps

Hurricane Katrina Flood Recovery Maps (Louisiana)
Maps showing the extent and magnitude of Hurricane Katrina's surge, as well as information on advisory flood data, were created for areas in southeastern Louisiana parishes that were most severely impacted by coastal flooding.  These maps show high water marks surveyed after the storm, an inundation limit developed from these surveyed points, and FEMA's Advisory Base Flood Elevation (ABFEs).  To access the Katrina Recovery Maps for each Louisiana parish, click on the link above.
