WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback released the following statement after President Bush last night addressed the nation on military action in Iraq.

"I deeply appreciate our men and women in uniform - particularly the Kansans who are serving in this campaign. The safety of Americans and the liberation of the Iraqi people is on their shoulders. We pray for their safety and success and quick return to their families."
