Indianapolis - A report shows the number of homeless families here is up 78% this year. The Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention said it counted 213 homeless families on Jan. 29, up from 120 in January 2008. The group reported it counted a total of 1,454 homeless people.

Wednesday, June 17
Moscow - More than $1 million has been raised toward rebuilding a landmark covered bridge destroyed by a tornado last year. The June 2008 tornado sent the 1886 wooden bridge into the Flatrock River below. A group of private companies, organizations and individuals says it has raised about 75% of the estimated $1.4 million needed to rebuild the bridge.
