Museums and Galleries

Corcoran Gallery of Art:  17th Street and New York Avenue, NW, 202-639-1700  Founded by William Corcoran, a leading patron of American art, this gallery and school holds a renowned collection of 19th century art and an evolving contemporary collection.  The Corcoran Gallery is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

The International Spy Museum:  800 F Street, NW, 202-393-7798  The only museum dedicated to the history and tradecraft of espionage.  The Spy Museum is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Phillips Collection:  16000 21st Street, NW, 202-387-2151  America's first museum of modern art, this gallery contains paintings by artists including Renoir, van Gogh, Monet, Picasso and O'Keeffe.  The Phillips Collection is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, Sundays 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and is closed on Mondays.
