Bunning Announces Over $100,000 In Federal Funds For Central Campbell County Fire District

United States Senator Jim Bunning today announced that The Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) - Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response, (SAFER), of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded $108,380 to the Central Campbell County Fire District.
"The hiring process is an integral part of the fire service, and with the help of this grant the Central Campbell County Fire District will have the necessary resources to hire the best candidates possible," said Bunning. "These funds are instrumental in helping local fire departments meet their staffing needs to protect the citizens of Campbell County."
The goal of the SAFER grant is to enhance the ability of Central Campbell County Fire District to increase and retain the number of frontline firefighters.
