@ratioswitch I use MacPorts, so I had stuff in /opt instead of /usr, and TM restored that properly. Only gems and /etc/hosts were missing. |

@seiz Yeah, but for what it's worth everything worked perfectly after I installed Xcode and grabbed the missing gems. So overall it's a win. |

Apparently Time Machine isn't a true 100% backup. Restored a new machine (MB Air!) via Time Machine and the Ruby bits are all hosed. |
