@bowbrick But the Internet/network are 'big innovations', in both senses. We're building small things atop. More Negroponte ambition needed!
@freecloud James Heartfield on relationship of ecological thought & consumption, comparing it to C19 Christianity http://tinyurl.com/6rmfpw
I Was...: Douglas Adams' Flatmate describes the joy of writing, the trappings of success... and associated pains http://tinyurl.com/b00fzbfh
@leebryant Yes, amazing that a C19 chef would create a rival Great Exhibition, introduce gas cooking, & invent an army stove for the Crimea.
Jonathan Freedland's The Long View #radio4 on a C19 celebrity chef who innovated in cookers and cooking process http://tinyurl.com/b00fzb24
@maximolly Taking an Olivetti typewriter to a bar was probably an act of design evangelism, in which the tool was the content, not a fetish!
@moleitau Very rye! (That's almost a palindrome.)
@moleitau I bet you would go to an event for typewriters ;-) @anonymoustom But we are creating a techno-elite @reyes I will wait and learn
@reyes Book clubs are semi-public fora for discussing ideas and the human experience, ie: the content. What is the Twitterverse parallel?
On Twinterval (@twinterval), did early typewriter users socialise around their technology too? Boy do our people live in a (charmed) bubble!
@stevenimmons When these services have critical mass we will do some amazing things with them. But we need to work out how to get there.
@stevenimmons As enhancements to Brightkite? If so, I suggest we work out what these tools are for first.
Looks like Brightkite will eat Plazes's lunch while Nokia ingests it. My colleagues at Nokia must find this failure to innovate frustrating.
Recommend In Our Time on the Great Fire of London today, w/Lisa jardine 'bigging up' Hooke as usual http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/...
Off to the Independents' Christmas Lunch in Dean Street hosted by @wildwoman An event for the 'organisation free'. I may be some time
Piece on Doug Engelbart's 1968 Demo on PM #radio4 http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4... But Program for the Future event not mentioned #pftf
Nice Philip Dodd interview with Bernard-Henri Levy on Night Waves #radio3 esp. good on Euro-left anti-Americanism http://tinyurl.com/6cpbfa
@jamescridland Yes, I've played briefly with RadioPop. My scenarios are around spoken word podcasts/Listen Again, so not yet well supported.
Dreamweaver is one of the most frustrating apps ever: bloated/unstable/almost unusable. I'm sorry about the redundancies, but not for Adobe.
@jonathanmarks I am most keen on radio recommendation too. It is a very complex set of interactions to design around, so not very hopeful!
