Hacking away on Jekyll, my websites and my lectures. All are coming along nicely.
@mojombo Ummmm... interesting choice of name. Make sure you don't drop the pause between the two words! :)
@timbray I agree. Have a look at Clojure. Minimal syntax, runs on top of the JVM. Looks pretty slick.
@MelindaHarvey Hello! Welcome to yet another way to waste time online! Erm... I mean, Welcome to this brave new world of micro-blogging!
@arthegall Sure thing. Clustering is on my list of things to get stuck into properly in the near future.
Anyone had any experience, positive or negative, using js-kit for blog comments?
@dwf Nothing in particular, just felt WP in general was overkill and I'm on a bit of a simplification binge at the moment.
Brainstorming how to chop up my 70+ page paper in three 1 hour lectures.
@rands I watched it for the first time last week and had to ask for help. This diagram was a good start: http://tinyurl.com/5ul2ar
Found a nice solution for my next site revamp: Jekyll + Maruku + Blahtex. Simple, hackable, portable.
Just forked Jekyll to add Maruku and LaTeX equation support. GitHub rocks.
@arthegall To be honest, I haven't given it more than a cursory skim. It's on my "to read" list: http://citeulike.org/user/m...
To bed, after a fun weekend of messing with CSS typography and evaluating blogging tools.
@mja Haven't used it myself, but this tutorial on PyMC piqued my interest: http://tinyurl.com/6xfeue
@mja OmniGraffle. Seriously.
After upgrading to Wordpress 2.7 and checking it out, I think I'm going to shift everything to Rassamalog and go static.
@dwf I've been looking at f-divergences for a bit now (the Wikipedia entry mostly mine). What are you pondering?
Playing with typography and CSS assuages my mild obsessive-compulsive tendencies.
Starting what will be a long processes of bringing together my sites that are currently spread over at least three domains.
