@chrisblizzard Fast web apps depend on compiled JS that looks little different than byte code or object code. The jsvm is just a target. |

IMHO the browser has been a stagnant development platform for way too long. A good swift kick in the pants is just what it deserves. |
@cwilso I'm all for just about anything that revs the client. Java, native code, better JS. Free Silverlight and I'll cheer for that too. |
@pmuellr I don't feel this is an either/or scenario, but just part of the bigger trend toward the browser being a more powerful container. |
@timbray JS is ubiquitous and we've seen amazing things done with it. But more language choice in the browser strikes me as a good thing. |
