@avdi, btw I really enjoyed your Ruby Advent article. Cleared up a lot of questions of RSpec I had.
@avdi, I'll take your word on that, as I didn't look into Clojure that much yet. It's on my Christmas list :)
@bryanl, also it's considered an excellent language for concurrency, which is a hot topic
@bryanl it's Lisp with access to Java classes...and less parens. That combo is just awesome, no?
A very awesome way to spend 2 minutes: http://tinyurl.com/6qe3sa (thanks @danwrong)
Especially when I'm not the one doing the supporT?
I must admit...documentation sucks the life out of me. Why in the hell would I care how it's supported?
Is there a facility to search your own tweets or the tweets of the ones you follow?
back from my travelings...gonna attempt to do some programming
working from home is more fun. Also, I'm more focused. Amazing what no distractions will do.
@jeremymcanally, if you think that, try watching a marathon of it. My wife put me through that and it took a lot of me not to get an AK-47
people who are not technically inclined make the stupidest decisions, no matter how easy you make it for them to make the right one.
On a brighter note, I am starting to have a few ideas around Vertebra-like implementation
helping out my wife with social work studies. Yikes!
The awesomest way of pricing a software product: "Contract price is based on no/ of assets held in the database"
got a very exciting opportunity for Rails work inside the company. Hopefully, the managers here will actually let me do it.
If someone tells you "I'll call you at 11am" and you suspend everything , and that call is half an hour late, are you allowed to shoot them?
why use windows? no, seriously, why?
@tobi the storm doesn't have wifi, because they rushed it. All the reviews say so
