UNT Jewish Studies Program to feature Mitchell Bard

What: "Islam, Terrorism and the Peace Process in the Middle East," a lecture at the
University of North Texas by Mitchell Bard, executive director of the American-
Israeli Cooperative Enterprise

When: Nov. 8 (Wednesday), 4 p.m.

Where: The Eagle Student Services Center Room 255. The ESSC is located across from the Willis Library, with parking on Highland Street, between Avenues A and C.

DENTON (UNT), Texas -- The University of North Texas Jewish Studies Program will feature a lecture by Mitchell Bard, executive director of the American- Israeli Cooperative Enterprise, on Nov. 8 (Wednesday). The lecture, "Islam, Terrorism and the Peace Process in the Middle East," will begin at 4 p.m. in the Eagle Student Services Center 255. The ESSC is located across from the Willis Library, with parking on Highland Street, between Avenues A and C.

Bard has been the executive director of the American- Israeli Cooperative Enterprise since 1993. He received his b achelor of arts degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his doctoral degree in political science from University of California, Los Angeles. He is the author or editor of 18 books, including "The Complete Idiot's Guide to the Middle East Conflict" and "Myths and Facts: A Guide to the Arab-Israeli Conflict." He has also written journal articles in the "Middle East Quarterly" and the "Journal of the James Madison Institute" among other journals and magazine articles for "Woman's World" and "Writer's Digest."

Bard's visit is sponsored by the UNT Jewish Studies Program, Department of History, College of Arts and Sciences, UNT Hillel, and the Jewish Federation of Fort Worth and Tarrant County.
