About the Media Library

The Media Library, a division of the University Libraries, houses the University’s non-print, audiovisual collections. The University Libraries include the A.M. Willis Jr. Library, the Science and Technology Library, the Library Annex, the Research Park Library, and the UNT Dallas Library.

Established in 1976, the Media Library collection contains materials covering all academic disciplines and all genres of film in a variety of formats. The collection numbers over 8,500 DVDs, 11,000 videotapes, 600 laser discs, 2,000 reels of motion picture film, 2,100 filmstrips, 2,500 phonograph records, 2,000 audio cassettes and audio CDs, 200 CD-ROMs, and 36,000 individual slides.
