Nine UNT Health physicians were chosen as "Texas Super Docs" for the December 2008 edition of Texas Monthly, on newsstands now.

How to find out if there's a snow day

North Texas thermometers are already dipping to freezing temperatures. When the mercury hits freezing and there's snow or ice on the ground, you may wonder whether the Health Science Center will be open. Here are three easy ways to find out, listed below in order of authority.

Dr. Janice Knebl Donald W. Reynolds Foundation Awards Grant

The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation announced that its board of trustees has approved 10 grants, totaling almost $20 million, to strengthen physician's geriatrics training across the United States. UNTHSC received almost $2 million for educating physicians on geriatrics. The grants will support comprehensive projects in academic health centers to train medical students, residents and practicing physicians in geriatrics.
