Ask Academic is our new service and it will replace Docutek Software with Tutor.com For a few weeks you may see a Ask Colorado logo when you click on the chat link above. Just select UNT from the drop down menu of colleges AND "Other State" when it asks where you live. This partnership enables us to offer 24/7 chat service with a librarian. The service is now staffed by various university libraries as well as UNT.

The UNT Libraries provides the Reference by Appointment service for those doing research on particularly difficult topics, or those who need more in-depth assistance with the materials. This link leads to a page with an attached form which you can fill out and submit to make an appointment with a subject specialist who will arrange a time to work with you one-on-one to help you with your research.

Reference Desk
Stop by one of our reference desks, during operating hours, to get assistance in person.
Willis Library First Floor
The general reference desk for Willis Library is located on the first floor. For specific assistance in the applicable areas, try the Government Documents Reference desk on the 3rd floor, the Music Library reference desk on the 4th floor. Also on the 4th floor, is the Rare Book and Texana Collection and University of North Texas Archives.
Consult the Science and Technology Library Reference Desk for areas such as biology, environmental sciences, chemistry, mathematics, physics, library and information science, psychology, behavior, speech and hearing sciences, geography, children's literature, and education.
The library science collection has been moved to Research Park Library
The Media Library, in Chilton Hall, can assist you in finding visual materials such as films.
The Research Park Library reference desk can assist you in the areas of computer science and engineering. Check the Research Park hours for times when assistance is available.
The Dallas Campus Library has a primarily electronic collection, but assists with Ask a Librarian reference services as well.
