ASCHENBRENNER NAMED CHAIRMAN OF STATE ANATOMICAL BOARD
John Aschenbrenner, PhD, associate professor of pathology and anatomyat UNT Health Science Center, was recently named chairman of the Anatomical Board of the State of Texas.
The board implements the rules, according to state law, governing the procurement, use and disposition of cadaveric materials by all medical, dental, osteopathic and chiropractic schools in the state that use anatomical specimens for educational and research purposes.
Dr. Aschenbrenner has been a faculty member at UNT Health Science Center for 32 years teaching all disciplines of anatomy. He also serves as director of the Biomedical Skills Education and Research Laboratory, which provides continuing medical education training for area healthcare personnel.
A native of Bronxville, NY, Dr. Aschenbrenner earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Iona College, a master of science degree in zoology from Rutgers University and a doctorate degree in anatomy from Baylor University.
Dr. Aschenbrenner currently resides in Denton with his wife Geraldine.
