SLIS Web Institutes Students may pursue the Master's by attending web institutes with the remainder of the program on the Web. Click here for for Web Institute attendance policy information. The web institutes begin the three SLIS core courses, which then continue online for the remainder of the semester.
The Web/Institutes use cohort approach to enable the students to take the first, second, in some cases, the third semester of studies as a group. This cohort-based approach provides an opportunity for students and faculty to build a vibrant learning community./font> Institute Schedule Upcoming Institutes (Not all web sites may available yet)
The day portion of the institutes involves classroom instruction that covers both course content and technology training for the Web portion of the courses. Social events are held during some of the evenings so that students can get to know each other and the faculty.
