Bassiano, a young Venetian would like to travel to Belmont to woo the beautiful and wealthy heiress Portia. In order to do so, he approaches his friend Antonio, a merchant for the funds needed to sponsor his traveling expenses as a suitor. Antonio is unable to assist his friend Bassiano and therefore Antonio turns to the money lender Shylock. Shylock loathes Antonio for his anti-Semitism, but is willing to loan him the money on one condition. If Antonio is unable to pay back the loan by the due date, Shylock is free to seek retribution by taking a pound of Antonio’s flesh. Is the possibility of love worth the risk?  This Shakespearean classic has long been a topic of thematic debate.

Kino, Juana and their infant son Coyotito live in a modest Mexican house by the sea. One morning calamity strikes when Coyotito is stung by a scorpion. Kino and Juana rush their son to the doctor, but when they arrive they are turned away for being poor. Later that morning Kino & Juana take their family canoe out to the estuary to go diving for pearls in order to pay for the doctor. Juana’s prayers for a large pearl are answered when Kino surfaces with the biggest pearl they had both ever seen. Ironically, they experience misfortune after misfortune after discovering the pearl rather than the riches they so desired. The adaptation of John Steinbeck’s novel brings to life the unforgettable story of Kino and his ‘Pearl of the World.’

Brad & Janet are two sexually confused middle class American kids who seek aide after having tire trouble on the way to visit an old college professor. They find help at Frankenstein Manor where they are confronted by the mad ‘doctor’ Frank N. Furter from the planet Transexual in the galaxy of Transylvania. With the doctor’s decedent morality, his servants Riff Raff, Magenta, and Columbia he has created an experiment, the perfect man christened Rocky Horror.  Adrift in this world of science fiction, one never knows what to expect. The Rocky Horror Show is an outrageous classic of stereo-typed science fiction movies, Marvel comics, Frankie Avalon/Annette Funicello outings, and rock ‘n’ roll of every vintage.

Location on Campus:

The RTFP building, home to the Department Office, the Box Office and the University and Studio Theatres, is located on the corner of Welch and Chestnut streets, adjacent to the parking structure. The most convenient entry to the theatre lobby and box office is through the main entrance, across from the College of Business Administration.

Ticket Information:

Box Office hours are 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Tickets can be ordered with a credit card over the phone by calling (940) 565-2428 or Metro (817) 267-3731 ext. 2428. We are located in the RTFP building in the first floor lobby of the University Theatre (room 104). At our box office location, we can accept cash, checks and credit cards.

Tickets to an individual production may be purchased approximately two weeks before that show opens. We strongly recommend that you purchase tickets in advance for the show you plan to attend. Seating availability is often limited, and many shows sell out quickly. The box office opens one hour prior to each performance for will-call and to sell any remaining tickets for that performance.

There is a NO LATE SEATING policy for productions in the Studio Theatre. We are no longer able to accept unpaid reservations for our performances. All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
