The Student Organization Staff in the Student Activities Center advises and assists over 300 registered student organizations at the University of North Texas. This web site is a resource for members, advisors, and students wanting to start a new organization on campus.
Organization Registration
New Organization Registration
Anyone can start a new organization at UNT. To start a new organization you must have the following:
- at least 4 members
- a full time UNT faculty/staff member to serve as an advisor
- a constitution and bylaws (which will be covered in orientation)
One member from each new organization must attend one of the following orientation sessions: (location to be announced)
- Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 3pm – 5pm, Lyceum
- Friday, September 12, 2008, 1pm – 3pm, Union 411
NOTE: If a new organization fails to attend one of these orientations, you will not be registered for the 2008-2009 school year.
Current Organization Registration
Registration will work differently this year because of the online system.
- Every organization that is currently registered will be REQUIRED to attend one (1) Orientation session.
- Either the President or Vice-President should plan on attending the meeting of their choice.
- Check in for orientation will begin 30 minutes prior.
If you have elected a new president, please make that update in ICS! Otherwise, you DO NOT need to make any updates, revisions, or uploads to ICS until AFTER the orientation session!
The following are the Orientation sessions you can choose from: (location to be announced)
If you or anyone you know is starting a NEW organization, orientation dates are the following:- Thursday, September 4, 2008, 3pm – 5pm, Lyceum
- Thursday, September 11, 2008, 4pm – 6pm, Lyceum
- Monday, September 15, 2008, 5pm – 7pm, Lyceum
NOTE: If your organization fails to attend one of the three orientation sessions, you will not be registered for the 2008-2009 school year.
