Center for BioHealth Microscope Facility was established in 2007 to provide technical support for advanced microscopy
needs for scientists at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
This facility features a Zeiss confocal LSM 510 META/LIVE DuoScan microscope ideal for imaging multiple fluorophores in
fixed and live cells. The capabilities include: z-sectioning, time series analysis, multiple ROIs, colocalization and 3D
reconstruction. The ultra-high speed image acquisition permits the measurement of dynamic motion of intracellular
components. Advanced imaging experiments to measure protein-protein interactions (FRET) and photobleaching (FRAP, FLIP)
are now accessible to the entire UNT Health Science Center. Our goal is to provide a first class facility that will meet
the expanding research needs of the faculty, staff and students.
The current director of this facility is Matthew J. Gastinger, Ph.D.
