2003 Royal Tokaji Aszu Red Label (5 Puttonyos) Honeyed citrus and dried apricots with a smooth mineral finish. Almost a port-like nose.
2005 Cannonball Cabernet Sauvignon Nice for the price! Soft, verging on thin in the front. Quick finish. Good with seared burgers.
2005 Porter Creek "Fiona Hill" Russian River Pinot Noir: I saw a review that called this "woodsy". Let's try medicial. Overpriced.
d'Arenberg "The Stump Jump" 2005. A big, jammy red. Finishes with tannins and pepper. About $10. Excellent around-the-house wine.
Rex Goliath Pinot Noir. Versatile Pinot Noir under $10. Very berry, light acidity, touch of spice. Great bargain. Try with roasted mushrooms
2005 Quady Essencia Orange Muscat. Fortified dessert wine. Orange creme brulee with apricots. Lingering finish. Pairs with creme anglaise.
2005 d'Arenburg "Laughing Magpie" Shiraz, Viognier. Ripe, seductive, fruity. A current favorite. Go buy this now. Serve with good cassoulet.
2005 Királyudvar Tokaji. A dry Tokaji. Exceptional value at $30. Long finish, great nose, lots of minerals. Eat with fava bean and pea soup....
2006 Les Dames Blanches du Sud. Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc. Chewy, floral, slightly acidic. Pair with Seafood Chowder.
