@karllong Then I think we're on the same page. ;) Coining 'SOSV' is just selling a client on snake oil, but entries are where ROI is at.
@karllong And even Twitter retweets pointed to blogs where comments had people choose products from Kmart.com, so not all ROI-less.
@karllong Though the retweet fests on Twitter had little ROI value, there was still plenty of elements from that campaign that delivered.
@karllong What Kmart does best: Sell products. So a campaign where people buy products from Kmart is a good match: http://tinyurl.com/6bovgf
RT @woot: $9.99 : USB Powered Woot-Off Lights http://www.woot.com - These are hilarious!
@Ross To be fair, I have thought of a 'What Floor is My Car On?' app that has the Apple slot machine wheels to set a reminder.
@karllong Sorry: Agree that 'share of social voice' is BS metric, but disagree there is no ROI in chatter/noise. See: Will it Blend?
@maslowbeer GoDaddy is the model for what NOT to do when creating consumer confidence. Messy, confusing checkout process FTL.
@karllong Comparing 'share of social voice' against competitors is silly, but comparing before and after campaign is a valid metric. #kmart
@Ross It's called the camera. Just take a pic of your car, or of a landmark near the parking space before you leave the car.
RT @jowyang: Personal goal tonight is to connect at least 5 job seekers with employers http://tinyurl.com/5k3cfg #svtweetup - Nice!
@bluewavemedia I upgraded WordPress from 2.6.3. Upgrade went smoothly, and I really like the new version. Definitely gets my recommendation.
@eMom Switched both my blogs to 2.7 last night and love it. Great additions, and no probs for me yet. *FIngers crossed*
@karllong Though I love the concept of Open ID, I agree that the current UX is terrible. A few tweaks would see a huge jump in use IMHO.
@frankiep For something similar that's a little easier to understand and get working (Mac/FF compliant) check out: http://tinyurl.com/59dykn
@frankiep But yes, I have seen it in action, and was wowing the co-workers with it this morning.
@frankiep Agree, the German is a little frustrating. Make sure you're using IE on a Windows machine, and you'll need to install a plugin.
@k8iedid Yes, shoes would be a great use for the technology as well. Anything that you'd want to turn around and really examine.
@andyjacobson Click, new wheels. Click, different paint color. Click, different interior. It's a full showroom in the palm of your hand.
