Red car in flooded street

Flooding Possibilities

Be aware of what steps you can take to protect yourself, your family and your home from flooding:

  • Have an emergency plan that includes evacuation.  For tips on how to prepare for an emergency, check out the State Preparedness Brochure.
  • Have a stockpile of food and other supplies in case you need to stay in your home for an extended period of time.
  • Monitor weather reports for your local community.
  • Consider getting flood insurance if you don't already have it.
