The Department of History at the College of Staten Island of the City University of New York seeks candidates for an anticipated tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of History-Environmental History/History of Science, beginning Fall 2009.
Required: Ph.D. in history with specialization in environmental history with the ability to teach courses in the history of science. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, performing department and college service, and engagement in an active and productive research agenda. The position also includes responsibility for teaching in the Macaulay Honors College. Salary range: $55,934 -$ 71,974 commensurate with qualifications.
