OFBCI has released the 2009-2010 Indiana AmeriCorps*State Request for Proposals and Application Instructions (materials below). We will only accept grant applications from new or recompeting applicants who have attended one of the Technical Assistance Workshops and have submitted the Notice of Intent to Apply by the September 30, 2008 deadline.
Technical assistance workshops were conducted in early September 2008, and notices of intent have been received. Any organization who is interested in having AmeriCorps members at their organization can review our current Indiana Programs. If any of our current programs are in alignment with your goals and activities then contact them to see if your organization could serve as a host site.
If you have any questions, please email RFP_FAQ@ofbci.in.gov.
If you are interested in learning more about AmeriCorps and possibly applying for funding, please view the online presentations below. "AmeriCorps 101" covers the basics and lasts approximately 30 minutes. "AmeriCorps 201" gets more in-depth with program requirements, member service activities, and planning your AmeriCorps*State budget. It runs approximately 45 minutes.
To download the slides for reference, click here for 101 and click here for 201.
We also encourage all potential applicants who have never administered an AmeriCorps grant to take this self-assessment. This tool is designed to help organizations assess their capacity to manage an AmeriCorps grant.
