Speaker Biography: Billy Collins was the Library's Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry for 2001-2002. His books of poetry include "Sailing Alone Around the Room"; "Picnic, Lightning"; "The Art of Drowning," which was a Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize finalist; "Questions About Angels," a National Poetry Series selection by Edward Hirsch; "The Apple That Astonished Paris"; "Video Poems"; and "Pokerface."
