MARCH 2001

U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY, WRD New York District, Troy, NY WATER RESOURCES REVIEW AND CURRENT CONDITIONS STATEMENT FOR MARCH 2001 Prepared April 3, 2001 Troy Subdistrict--Summary Report Provisional streamflow conditions at sites monitored and included in this report in eastern New York were in the deficient range except at Wallkill River at Gardiner and Wappinger Creek near Wappingers Falls. Mean flows at these 2 sites were in the excessive range. Adjustments were made to flows at Independence River at Donnattsburg due to ice effect during March. Extreme ice conditions were reported for Sacandaga River near Hope, Schoharie Creek at Prattsville, and Ausable River at Au Sable Forks, and therefore these sites were not included in this report. Ithaca Subdistrict--Summary Report Provisional streamflow conditions at sites monitored and included in this report for western New York were in the deficient range at all sites except for Oatka Creek at Garbutt and Fall Creek near Ithaca which were both in the normal range.
