French Navy, U.S. Coast Guard conduct joint training operations in San Francisco

 

A Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin helicopter hovers just above the ground during a training operation with both French Naval and Coast Guard pilots.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Crew members from the French Navy Frigate Priarial conduct flight operations with members from Air Station San Francisco in one of the HH-65 Dolphin helicopters.  The Priarial made a port call in San Francisco, during which time the crew met with various members of the Coast Guard Pacific Area and District 11 staffs, and conducted joint training operations with Coast Guard units.  (Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer Kevin J. A crew member of the French Naval Frigate Prairial watches over preparations being made to launch a helicopter from the deck of the ship.  This member is one of the firefighters who stand by in case of an accident during the evolution.
