DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Union Underwear Co., Inc., Bowling Green, Kentucky, is being awarded a $6,774,000 fixed price with economic adjustment contract for white and brown drawers and undershirts. One proposal was solicited and one was received. Work will be performed in Campbellsville, Kentucky and is expected to be completed by June 25, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the contracting activity (SP0100-96-D-1024).

ARMY

United Defense Limited Partnership, York, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $40,156,693 modification to a firm fixed price definitization of letter contract for 42 Hercules Improved Recovery Vehicles, 28 for the U.S. Army and 14 for the country of Kuwait. Work will be performed in York, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by September 15, 1996. Of the total contract funds, $24,238,381 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 6, 1993. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-94-C-0429).

Longbow LLC, Martin Marietta Millimeter Technologies, Incorporated and Westinghouse Tactical Systems LLC, Orlando, Florida, are being awarded a $114,380,788 modification to a firm fixed price contract for low rate initial production of the Longbow HELLFIRE Modular Missile System. Work will be performed in Maryland (50%), and Florida (50%), and is expected to be completed by August 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 18, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (DAAH01-91-C-0057).

Olin Corporation/Winchester Division, Independence, Missouri, is being awarded a $43,534,563 modification to a cost plus award fee contract for the operation and maintenance of a government owned/contractor operated facility. Work will be performed at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 17 bids solicited on October 3, 1984, and 7 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAA09-91-Z-0009).

Olin Ordnance, St. Petersburg, Florida, is being awarded a $45,799,824 modification to a firm fixed price contract for 120mm Tank Ammunition Rounds, M831A1 (19,930) and M865 (60,097). Work will be performed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on June 30, 1994, and two bids received. Kalyn/Siebert, Incorporated*, Gatesville, Texas, is being awarded a firm fixed price/three year requirements contract with an anticipated total of $18,778,475 (delivery orders are not expected to exceed $5,000,000, appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) for the purchase of Tilt Deck Trailers. There are 6 different types and the customer can purchase up to 60 of each type; the estimated minimum is 30 each. Work will be performed in Gatesville, Texas, and is expected to be completed in three years. There were 23 bids solicited on November 28, 1994, and three bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-96-D-X002).

Alliant Techsystems Incorporated, Hopkins, Minnesota, is being awarded a $64,360,380 firm fixed price contract for 120mm tank ammunition, the M831A1 TP-T 120mm cartridge (31,849) and the M865 TPCSDS-T 120mm cartridge (99,617). The M831A1 is the high explosive training round and the M865 is the kinetic training round, with both rounds having inert projectiles, which are used for live fire training for M1A1/M1A2 tanks. Also procured is the service of technical data package maintenance for the 120mm rounds. Work will be performed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on June 30, 1994, and two bids received. CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

IEM Seland Corporation*, McLean, Virginia, is being awarded a $7,290,858 firm fixed price contract for Montclair/West Orange & Glen Ridge Radium Sites, property remediation and

restoration; Barrow's Field and Carteret Street, Essex County, New Jersey. The work to be

performed consists primarily of site preparation, excavation and transportation of contaminated material; restoration of Barrow's Field Park and Carteret Street in Glen Ridge; and the restoration of the comfort station/utility structure. Work is expected to be completed by May 20, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 66 bids solicited on August 18, 1995, and 7 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Missouri (DACW41-96-C-9001).

NAVY

Hughes Aircraft Company, Los Angeles, California, is being awarded a $49,521,514 cost-plus-award-fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for engineering services to support F-14 aircraft radar systems. The basic level of effort is 512,220 hours at a value of $49,521,514; the minimum level of effort is 12,806 hours. Work will be performed in Point Mugu, California, and is expected to be completed by January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Hughes Missile Systems Company, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a $58,373,888 ceiling-priced modification to previously awarded contract N00019-94-C-0257 for 65 Tomahawk All-Up-Round sea-launched cruise missiles and related support supplies and services on behalf of the government of the United Kingdom under the United States Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona (83%) and Poway, California (17%), and is expected to be completed by June 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Hughes Missile Systems Company, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a $113,568,486 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-94-C-0257 for 164 Tomahawk All-Up-Round sea-launched cruise missiles and related depot support, supplies and services. Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona (83%) and Poway, California (17%), and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, Incorporated, Sunnyvale, California, is being awarded a $10,000,000 cost-plus-incentives contract for the FY96 TRIDENT II (D5) production and deployed systems support. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, California, and is

expected to be completed by 30 September 1999. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value to $20,000,000. Turner Construction Company, Arlington, Virginia, is being awarded a $23,496,000 firm-fixed-price contract for replacement of Naval Aviation Propulsion Test and Evaluation Facilities to support the propulsion mission which is being relocated from Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Trenton, New Jersey, to the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, under Base Closure and Realignment (BRAC) initiatives. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Maryland, and is expected to be completed by December 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 60 proposals solicited and nine offers received. Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Virginia, is being awarded a $5,025,665 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-88-C-2195 for the execution of USS TUCSON (SSN 770) Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) to accomplish work deferred during construction. Work will be performed in Newport News, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by August 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Hughes Missile Systems Company, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a not-to-exceed $19,750,180 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-95-C-5435 for the MK 15 PHALANX Close-In Weapon System (CIWS). Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by November 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (91.4%) and the United Kingdom (8.6%) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. American Telephone & Telegraph Company, Advanced Technology Systems, Greensboro, North Carolina, is being awarded a $26,100,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-92-C-5211 for fifth-program year requirements of the multi-year contract to provide the AN/UYS-2A(V) production units and kits for the U.S. Navy's next generation standard signal processor. Work will be performed in Greensboro, North Carolina, and is expected to be completed by April 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded a $17,300,000 firm-fixed-price contract for Harpoon Launch Systems and spares for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Harpoon Missiles. This contract combines purchases for the governments of Korea (60%), Turkey (21%), Denmark (06%), Australia (06%), Israel (4%), Egypt (2%), and Japan (1%), under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri (57%), Baltimore, Maryland (24%), and San Diego, California (19%), and is expected to be completed by August 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00019-86-C-0003).

Boeing Information Services, Incorporated, Ridgecrest, California, is being awarded a $18,958,696 ceiling-priced modification to previously awarded contract N68936-95-D-4251 to add an additional 466,000 hours of federal information processing support services for various projects, programs, and administrative activities at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, California. Work will be performed in China Lake, California, and is expected to be completed by September 1996. Contract funds in the amount of $377,691 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Loral Defense Systems, Akron, Ohio, is being awarded a $22,700,403 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-95-C-6182 for FY 95 long lead material activities for FY 95 Vertical Launch ASROC (VLA) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program missile requirements including FMS spares and associated engineering services. This will bring the cumulative value of this contract $41,700,403 . The Vertical Launch ASROC (VLA) missile program provides ships of the CG47, DD 963, and DDG 51 classes with a near-term, intermediate range, all-weather, quick-response, antisubmarine weapon. This modification combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (50%), and the government of Japan (50%) under the FMS Program. This contract modification also provides additional funds in the amount of $30,000,000 for a long lead material action for FY 96 FMS requirements. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed-price contract modification will result from this action. The additional modification provides for delivery of 20 missiles for the government of Japan under the FMS Program. The total combined award announcement for FY 95 increase and FY 96 award is $52,700,403. Work will be performed in Akron, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by April 1997.
