Michelle Alexander, MD
Dr. Alexander is currently the Medical Director at
Sterling Testing Systems, Inc. a privately held,
ISO-Certified organization, and is the largest and fastest
growing pre-employment screening and testing companies in
the United States. Sterling serves over 6,000 customers in
diverse industries and performs over 5.6 million background
checks and drug tests yearly by combining "high tech" with
"high touch" In addition to offering a complete array of
background screening and drug testing services, Sterling
offers many other services, including online employment
applications, electronic I-9 services, online integrity,
skills and aptitude testing, and targeted tax credits. With
offices around the globe, Sterling is able to provide the
most complete and accurate information to its international
customer base.
Michelle Alexander MD was the former Assistant Vice
President of Occupational Health Services at New York City
Transit, a position she held for 8 years until her
retirement in January 2008. As the Assistant Vice President
of Occupational Health Services she was responsible for the
clinical and administrative oversight of the Employee
Assistance Program (EAP) and 3 Medical Assessment Centers
which perform medical evaluations of employees and
candidates for employment with an occupational focus. In
2007, NYC Transit performed over 30,000 drug and alcohol
tests including over 13,750 FTA drug and alcohol tests. She
graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine
and trained in Internal Medicine at Downstate Kings County
Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She has been a
certified Medical Review Officer since 1995. She lives in
New York City with her son, Ki Wooten.
