Most Recent Update: 15 May 2008.
Technical notes:
(1) This is our first version of the 1966 - 2007 analysis. Remember the
disclaimer!, and please let us know about errors or other
issues that limit the use and value of this site. The earlier website containing the 1966 - 2006 results is still available
here.
(2) There are probably a few species naming issues that lead to empty result pages. Please bring these to our attention,
and we will correct them.
(3) Maps (e.g., distribution maps) have not yet been updated with 2007 data. Older versions are still available, so please note the time periods covered by each set of maps.
(4) Some species are grouped for analysis. These are indicated on the selection lists.
(5) Data for annual index graphs are now listed below the graphics in the regional and species-specific trend results.
(6) Credibility codes for trend estimates updated on 6/03/2005 in response to user comments.
(7) Earlier versions of the web site have been archived, and are accessible via links.
(8) Trend results are now highlighted to indicate significant population declines or increases.
(9) The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service modified their regions after our analysis was posted. We caution that our analysis combines their new Regions 1 and 8 into a single region labeled as Region 1.
