Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) projects for which FHWA signed a Record of Decision (ROD) in each of the following fiscal years (FY) (October 1-September 30) — FY99, FY00, FY01, FY02, FY03, FY04, FY05, FY06 and FY07 were used to provide the following baseline information. The time reported is the time period from the signing of the Notice of Intent (NOI) to the signing of the ROD.

For the 29 projects in FY99, the average amount of time from the NOI to the ROD is 72.4 months (6 years). The median value is 79 months (8.3 years).

For the 35 projects in FY00, the average amount of time from the NOI to the ROD is 67.2 months (5.6 years). The median value is 60 months (5 years).

For the 31 projects in FY01, the average amount of time from the NOI to the ROD is 63.5 months (5.3 years). The median value is 54 months (4.5 years).

For the 43 projects in FY02, the average amount of time from the NOI to the ROD is 78.7 months (6.4 years). The median value is 80.1 months (6.7 years).

For the 36 projects in FY03, the average amount of time from the NOI to the ROD is 73.5 months (6 years). The median value is 67.6 months (5.6 years).

For the 34 projects in FY04, the average amount of time from the NOI to the ROD is 77 months (6 years). The median value is 54 months (4.5 years).

For the 39 projects in FY05, the average amount of time from the NOI to the ROD is 76 months (6.3 years). The median value is 60 months (5 years).

For the 37 projects in FY06, the average amount of time from the NOI to the ROD is 75 months (6.3 years). The median value is 60 months (5 years).

For the 29 projects in FY07, the average amount of time from the NOI to the ROD is 81 months (6.75 years). The median value is 68 months (5.7 years).
