The next Inquiry Brief (IB) workshop will be held March 13-15, 2013, during the Spring 2013 CAEP Conference at the Hyatt Regency in Louisville, Kentucky. Additionally, CAEP Conference sessions and keynote addresses will occur on March 14-15.
The IB workshop will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, and will run for 10 consecutive sessions, concluding at 3:15 on Friday, March 15. In addition to workshop discussions, consultations with TEAC staff and program representatives can be scheduled on Thursday from 4:45-5:45 and on Friday from 3:15 to 4:15.
Educators from preparation programs planning to follow the IB accreditation pathway are invited to attend the workshop with a team of faculty, administrators, support staff, and technology staff who will be writing the self-study report.
The IB workshop portion of the conference is organized so that participants can return from the conference with a good start on a draft Brief and a solid understanding of the TEAC (IB) accreditation process and the role of the Brief in the process. During the workshop, participants will construct clear, concise, accurate, and defensible claims about their programs’ outcomes and learn how to select, evaluate, and use evidence to support those claims.
In addition to the workshop sessions, the
CAEP conference will feature general sessions on the standards and principles of accreditation, reviewer’s expectations regarding candidate effectiveness in P-12 student learning, the program review process, and the development of assessment systems.
