It includes content going back more than 35 years and contains backfiles to volume one for Bioscience, Journal of Environmental Planning & Management , Journal of Ecology, and Conservation Biology and these backfiles are unique to GreenFILE. The database contains nearly 300,000 records, full text for certain titles and searchable sited references for more than 200 titles as well.

Avian Literature Database is a bibliographic database of documents on the effects of wind energy development and towers, power lines and other wires, on birds. The effects on birds include mortality factors such as collision and electrocution and impacts on nesting, foraging, roosting/loafing and other forms of bird disturbances. It is a product of the National Wind Technology Center run by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy. Many of the citations in the database are reports from this agency, and many are linked to their PDF versions.
