U.S. Foreign Policy Town Meeting To Be Held in Orlando Florida, November 8, 2001The U.S. Department of State and the International Council of Central Florida Student Association will hold a Town Meeting on International Security Issues Thursday, November 8, 2001. This event is one of a series of Town Meetings organized by the Department of State to increase public understanding of current foreign policy issues. Town Meetings encourage public participation in the policy process and provide an opportunity to exchange views with State Department officials.
The Town Meeting will be held at:
Sheraton Orlando North Hotel 600 North Lake Destiny Drive Maitland, Florida
From 6:45 to 9:15 p.m.
Registration for the Town Meeting begins at 6:00 p.m., and the meeting is OPEN for press coverage.
Session One: Nancy Carter-Foster, Senior Advisor for Health Affairs, will speak on "HIV/AIDS: Searching for a Worldwide Response" at 7:00 p.m.
Session Two: Philip T. Reeker, Deputy Spokesman, will speak on "Terrorism: Understanding This Worldwide Threat" at 8:15 p.m.
