REGARDING THE INDICTMENT OF WORLDCOM EXECUTIVES
"Today's indictments of WorldCom executives Scott D. Sullivan and Buford Yates, Jr., are the result of sustained law enforcement actions aimed at prosecuting corporate law-breakers and protecting the savings and pensions of Americans. With each arrest, indictment and prosecution, we send this clear message: corrupt corporate executives will be punished. The Department of Justice is committed to ensuring that corporate executives never profit by victimizing their own employees and investors."
