Secretary of State Colin L. Powell to Deliver the Keynote Address To the Overseas Security Advisory Council's 16th Annual Briefing Wednesday, November 7, 2001

Secretary of State Colin L. Powell will deliver the keynote address at the 16th Annual Overseas Security Advisory Council Briefing on Wednesday, November 7, 200l at 11:00 a.m. in the Dean Acheson Auditorium.

This morning session of the OSAC Briefing is open for press coverage.

The briefings begin at 8:00 a.m. The schedule is as follows:

Press wishing to cover the entire event must be set up by 8:00 a.m. The 23rd Street Entrance will open at 6:30 a.m. For those wishing to cover the Secretary only, the set up time for video cameras is 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. Press must wait until the adjournment to break down equipment.

Media representatives may cover this event upon presentation of either (1) a US Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a photo ID issued by the employing media organization, or (3) a letter on official letterhead from their news organization verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo ID (drivers’ license or passport).
