The Centralized Data Management Office (CDMO) is housed at the North Inlet-Winyah Bay NERR in South Carolina. It
was established in support of the National Estuarine Research Reserve's
(NERR) System-wide Monitoring Program (SWMP) that is currently implemented
at 27 reserves in the US and Puerto Rico.

Our Function:
The purpose of the CDMO,
is the management of the basic infrastructure and data protocol to support
the assimilation and exchange of data, metadata and information
within the framework of NERRS sites, coastal zone management (CZM)
programs, and other state and federally funded education, monitoring
and research programs.

In addition to the data collected by the 27 NERRS System-Wide Monitoring Programs (SWMP) focusing on water and atmospheric conditions, additional coastal chemical and contaminant trends in sediment and bivalve tissue is available from NOAA's National Status and Trends program available at the National Center for
Coastal Monitoring and Assessment ( NCCOS). |
