New Level of Childhood Lead Poisoning Awareness
Health Departments in Cuyahoga County recommend a new "level of awareness" for elevated blood lead in children.
The new threshold recognizes that more than 6,500 children in Cleveland (about 40% of those tested) and more than 1,200 children in the first ring suburbs (about 22% of those tested) may be hurt by lead.
