If you are searching for historical information pertaining to a specific, historical naval aviation mishap (including requests for information on mishaps involving relatives, etc.), please read the following.

The Naval Safety Center is not a repository for historical aircraft mishap records. Aircraft mishap records older than approximately 15 years are not held at the Naval Safety Center, but may be available at the Naval Historical Center, Naval Aviation History Branch. If you desire mishap information on a mishap that is older than 15 years, you must make a written request (phone requests not accepted) detailing as much information of the event including date, aircraft type etc to:
