Voting in any election is an important way to voice your opinions about elected leaders and policies that will affect your future.

Hawai`i's primary elections will be held Saturday, September 20.

On November 4 in the general election, Hawai`i voters will have the responsibility to understand the various referendums on the ballot, such as a Constitutional Convention, as well as select our new president, two members of our Congressional delegation, every state representative, twelve seats in the State Senate, the mayors and council members of the City and County of Honolulu, Hawai`i, Maui and Kaua`i counties, and seven members of the state Board of Education.

I encourage you to register to vote for the general election before the October 6 deadline. Visit the State Office of Elections website at www.hawaii.gov/elections, to learn more about how you can make your voice heard.
