Syringe disposal drop boxes

Injection drug users, diabetics and others who use syringes for personal reasons may now discreetly and safely dispose of their injecting equipment 24 hours a day. Secure, steel, exterior syringe drop boxes have been installed at the following locations below (click the addresses to get a map):

These syringe drop boxes are NOT for general medical, dental, veterinary, pharmacy or other commercial or business use.

These locations are open from 8 am – 5:30 pm, 7 days a week, but closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Individuals may also dispose of used syringes at any Public Health Clinic or Needle Exchange. To locate the most convenient Public Health Clinic or Needle Exchange, call 206-205-7837 or 1-800-678-1595.

Public Health is committed to reducing the number of used syringes placed in the trash and entering the public waste stream.
