Collins    307-261-7603 BLM and Wyoming PBS Celebrate the Trails Center’s 6th Anniversary The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center (NHTIC) will celebrate its 6th anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008. Wyoming Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) will be joining in the celebration commemorating their 25th anniversary with a family day event at the Trails Center. Admission to the Trails Center will be free all day. The public is invited to help the Bureau of Land Management and Wyoming PBS celebrate by joining in the festivities. Activities will include a special presentation by volunteer Kit Washut, and presentations on Native American Culture by Wille Le Clair, the Wind River Dancers, and Allison Sage. yoming PBS will sponsor “A Taste of The Trail” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the west end of the Trails Center parking lot. Visitors are invited to get a free plate of beans and cornbread, and an ice cream cup. Free cold bottled water will be available at each end of the parking lot throughout the day. A grand prize drawing for gift baskets sponsored by Wyoming PBS will be held at 11:45 a.m. A children’s Trivia Quiz will be held continuously throughout the day, with prizes for all participants, sponsored by Wyoming PBS and Rocky Mountain Nature Association, a nonprofit Cooperating Association. Gail Schenfisch, Licensed American Sign Language Interpreter, will be available throughout the day to assist in the interpretation of Wyoming’s Native American cultures.
