Restoration Projects
Come volunteer to help restore fish and wildlife habitat on King County Natural Lands and Parks.

Help Maintain Restoration Projects

Red-Town Meadow Restoration on Cougar Mt, Newcastle – June 28th, July 26th and August 23rd.

Cedar River Clean-up – July 19 th and September 13 from 9:00 to 2:00

Skyway Park – Wetland Restoration Work Parties June 28 th, July 26 th, August 23 rd, September 13 th, and September 27 th

Water Warriors to Keep the Plants Surviving in our Restoration Projects (different project location every week) - July 24 th, July 31 st, August 7 th, and August 14 th

Native Plant Holding Facility
Groups are needed to care for salvaged native trees and shrubs at our holding facility near Sammamish. To schedule a group work
party, please contact Cindy Young at
206-296-8065.

Students needed! Learn about restoring habitat while planting trees and shrubs. Groups of volunteers are needed for restoring habitat along the Green River. Weekdays preferred. 4th grade and up. Contact Greg Rabourn 206-296-1923

Salmon Watching
Help us learn more about our local salmon and what they need to thrive. Contact Jennifer at 206-263-6533.

King County Parks Greenhouse and Nursery work parties
Pot up Native Trees and Shrubs at the King County Greenhouse and Nursery - July 12 th, August 9 th, and September 6 th

Adopt-a-Park & Park Ambassador Programs
These programs provide opportunities for groups or individuals to help maintain King County's 200 parks and 200 miles of regional trails. For more information please contact Volunteer Coordinator, Laurie Clinton at 206-296-4452.

Trail work - With the help of our great partnership with Washington Trails Association, King County will be having volunteer work events throughout the year.  Come help us repair and maintain our valuable trail system.  Learn what it takes to build new trails.  .
