The HIV Care and Treatment program recognizes the importance of treatment adherence. The program is committed to providing information and tools to help HIV Case Managers learn more about how they can help clients with treatment adherence issues. HIV Case Managers can learn more about adherence from the following opportunities.

NEW HIV Case Management Training: The NEW HIV Case Management Training will include a presentation on HIV 101, which does include information on medications and adherence issues.

RN Nursing Intensive: The RN Intensive Training occurs every two years and includes extensive information on adherence strategies, HIV pharmacology, drug resistance, epidemiology and other useful information specific to treating persons living with HIV/AIDS.

Adherence Aids: Adherence Aids, including watches and pill boxes, are available through the state program for clients. Complete one request form per client and submit electronically or fax to Karen Smith at 971-673-0177. Fill out the Adherence Aids Request Form (pdf)
