Briefing: FY 2007 State and Foreign Operations Budget Submission

Senior State Department officials will brief on background on President Bush’s FY 2007 State and Foreign Operations budget submission on Monday, February 6, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the State Department Press Briefing Room.

Budget summary documents will be available in the Press Office (Room 2109) at 12 noon on Monday. These documents will also be available on the State Department’s website at www.state.gov at noon.

Members of the press wishing to attend this briefing who do not have a Department of State building pass should arrive at the 23rd Street entrance by 1:45 pm. to clear security procedures.

Media representatives who plan to attend must present one of the following press credentials: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
